What I really am

For those who have known me for more than 15 seconds or have seen me walk by know that I am a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan. (By the way they are the reigning champs, saying that wont get old). To give you some idea I bleed black and orange, it’s gross but I like it. I screamed like a girl when they won it all last year and I’m crushed when they give a game away.
So recently I’ve thought about either creating a new blog to post Giants stuff or creating a part of this blog just for Giants related stuff. The problem is whenever I went to write something about the Giants it went into “Jesus stuff”. The kind of stuff that I’m on fire for but the kind the average sports fan and person on the street can’t relate to or gets annoyed by.
There was a missionary in Africa named David Livingston. When he died, before they shipped his body back to England his friend buried his heart in Africa. The friend said that’s where his heart should be buried because that’s where his heart belonged. I’ll never have a success sports blog. I’m a huge sports fan but that’s not where my heart is.
I’ll talk sports or Giants stuff with you until you get bored or my voice goes out but that’s not my passion. My passion is living for Jesus because He gave me a brand new life. As much as I’ll be distracted by things I know I am His and He is mine.
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” – John 10:27-30
